From Files

The fastest way to bring a PDF into Colophon is from the library's import button, which opens the system Files picker to choose a PDF already on your device or in iCloud Drive. Library import is PDF-only; if you scanned a page and saved it as an image, use Scan to PDF or run OCR after importing rather than importing the image file directly.

Drag and drop on Mac

On Mac, drop a PDF straight onto the library window and Colophon adds it without opening a picker at all. The same drop target works on iPad — drag a PDF in from Files or another app.

From another app

You can also send a PDF to Colophon using the share sheet from wherever it already lives, whether that's Mail, a browser, or the Files app. See Use Colophon from the share sheet for how that works on both iOS and Mac.
