Fill out and flatten forms

Filling a form

Tap a field in an interactive PDF form to type into it, toggle a checkbox, or choose from a menu or list. Each change marks the document as edited, so your entries are saved with it like any other change.

Flattening

Flatten Form bakes the values you've entered into the page itself, so they render the same everywhere and can no longer be changed as fields — useful before sharing a completed form. It's a confirmed, opt-in action, and it runs on a colour-rich form without washing it out.

Exporting form data

To hand just the answers to another tool, choose Form Data from the Share menu to export the filled values as XFDF, the standard interchange format, without sending the whole PDF. See Export and share. Importing XFDF back in, and radio-group and push-button fields, aren't covered yet.
